Book Review - A Slice of Life

Book title: A Slice of Life

Author: Smita Das Jain

A Slice of Life is a collection of stories of different lengths, ranging from flash fictions to short stories.

The book greets you with Rendezvous with its sweet twist, then Parched gives you a ray of hope. Forever love was one of my favourites with the suspense well built up till the end. My heart will go on reminds you to keeps a check on blind expectations.

The humorous section was equally fascinating. When there is a will features a wife who always has her way in her new house and her tribulations with her bathtub.
Warning! Computer virus spreads to humans was quite an out of the box idea.
Go back home where you belong showcases the intricacies of a complicated relationship and how it changes over time.
The other side is a story to ponder upon since we often judge people at face value.

My favourite picks were: Forever LoveWhere there is a will and The other side.

The stories were really like slices of delicacies which you can relish bit by bit. Sometimes I would read 2-3 stories then keep some for the next day, much like you keep the best tasting food for the last for its taste to linger on your tastebuds.
I liked reflecting on those slices of life.

Plus points:
Each story  connects to you directly or indirectly you may relate to the character or know someone who is like the character in the book.

Minus points:
Only downside I wanted more stories.
